CVE-2022-29567Network attack vector

Information disclosure via object-derived TreeGrid keys

Published May 24, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information exposure in Vaadin TreeGrid affected releases allows remote authenticated users to read item values through client traffic. The default TreeGrid data provider calls Object::toString for item keys sent between server and browser, placing object-derived values in client-visible messages instead of opaque numeric IDs. Low-privileged access and user interaction are required; the consequence is limited to disclosure of values represented by those keys.
