Stored script execution via unescaped usernames
Published Aug 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in ConsoleTVs Noxen users.php allows remote authenticated users to inject script through crafted usernames. The user-creation path accepts the create_user_username field and renders the saved value without neutralizing HTML. Low-privileged account access is required to submit the username, and another user's page view triggers attacker-controlled script in that browser.
