Improper authentication in MISP before 2.4.158 allows remote authenticated users to change account credentials without password confirmation. UsersController.php treats form posts carrying Accept: application/json as REST requests and skips current-password verification when editing users. An existing authenticated session or an XSS foothold is required; exploitation can change a password, email address, or API key and take over that account.
