Administrator-to-administrator script execution via unvalidated URL scheme
Published Apr 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in the Cerebrate view of MISP before 2.4.158 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another administrator's browser. genericField.ctp builds a link from the stored Cerebrate URL without restricting its scheme, so a javascript: value remains executable. A MISP administrator must save the URL, and another administrator must open the Cerebrate view and click the link; the script then runs in the MISP origin.
