Stored XSS via unescaped cluster source URL
Published Apr 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in MISP before 2.4.158 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via a galaxy cluster. app/View/GalaxyClusters/view.ctp inserts the cluster Source value into an anchor href without HTML escaping, so a crafted valid URL breaks into executable markup. The attacker needs the perm_galaxy_editor permission, assigned by default to administrators, organization administrators, and sync users, and a victim must view the cluster.
