Code execution via crafted image parsing
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds writing in Fuji Electric V-Server software allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted image file. The image-processing path writes beyond a memory buffer, but Fuji Electric has not disclosed the parser, function, or failed bounds check. The flaw affects V-Server 4.0.11.0 and earlier and V-Server Lite 4.0.13.0 and earlier; successful exploitation can also disclose information.
