Unauthenticated root command execution via webextport XCMD
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Abode Systems, Inc. iota All-In-One Security Kit 6.9Z allows remote attackers to execute commands via XML. The setUPnP XCMD copies the webextport attribute into /var/in, where console_main_loop passes text after :sys to popen without validation. An unauthenticated UDP/55050 service exposes XCMD processing, and injected commands run as root on the security gateway.
