CVE-2022-29518

HMI authentication bypass via unchecked account names

Published May 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in KOYO Screen Creator Advance2 before 0.1.1.3 Build01 allows local users to perform arbitrary HMI operations. The remote-control account-name check accepts an improperly validated name when Remote GC connects to an affected GC-A2 HMI. Access to the HMI through Remote GC is required; successful bypass permits disclosure, deletion, or alteration of stored data and unauthorized equipment operation.
