CVE-2022-29517Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file upload via unsanitized attachment names

Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Path traversal in Lansweeper 10.1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to upload files to arbitrary filesystem locations via HTTP. HelpdeskActions.aspx edittemplate passes inlineattachmentname directly into a path concatenation in LS\WS\HelpdeskActions.cs without sanitizing traversal sequences. A valid helpdesk session and ticket-template editing access are required; successful requests write attacker-chosen content outside the template-file directory.
