TMM termination via DTLS request handling
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial-of-service in F5 BIG-IP before 16.1.2.2 and corresponding fixed releases allows remote attackers to terminate TMM via crafted requests. The vulnerable locus is a virtual server combining HTTP or TCP on one side with DTLS on the other, where undisclosed requests terminate the Traffic Management Microkernel process. Exploitation requires network reachability to that configured virtual server and interrupts traffic processing without evidence of data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
