Configuration takeover via replayed XFINDER authentication
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Authentication bypass in Abode Systems, Inc. iota All-In-One Security Kit 6.9X and 6.9Z allows attackers to alter settings via replay. XFINDER obfuscates UDP configuration traffic with a static XOR key and accepts a captured Auth value again, allowing replayed CONFIG commands. The attacker must monitor a legitimate configuration change on the local network and know the static key; successful replay can enable the embedded web server or change other device settings.
