Service-account NTLM hash disclosure via UNC storage path

Published Apr 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Credential disclosure in four ManageEngine products allows remote authenticated users to obtain configured service-account NTLM hashes. A storage-path configuration accepts an attacker-controlled UNC location and makes the application authenticate to it, exposing the configured account's NTLM challenge-response material. Operator access is required; affected releases are ADSelfService Plus before 6121, ADAudit Plus 7060, Exchange Reporter Plus 5701, and ADManager Plus 7131.
