Script execution via unsafe lightbox video attributes
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based reflected XSS in Elementor Website Builder 3.5.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted URL. The lightbox module copies attacker-controlled videoParams properties, including onerror, onto a hosted video element without restricting executable attributes. Execution requires a user to open the crafted URL and occurs in the affected site's origin, enabling content manipulation and actions available to that user.
