Contributor-level script execution via stored XSS
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Nicdark Donations 1.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. Public records identify contributor-level access and stored script execution when a guest visits the affected page, but do not disclose the input field, handler, or missing sanitization operation. A contributor or higher role must store the payload, and a separate visitor must load the affected content; the demonstrated consequence is browser-side script execution.
