CPT base deletion via missing nonce validation
Published May 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in KubiQ Remove CPT base 5.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete CPT base settings. The plugin's settings update accepts a state-changing request that removes selected custom post type base slugs without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in user able to manage these settings to interact with attacker-controlled content; affected routes then lose their configured base slugs.
