Remote code execution via forged administrator request
Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Code Snippets Extended 1.4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code. Published advisories do not identify the request handler or fields that accept snippet code without verifying that the administrator intended the request. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit an attacker-controlled request, after which injected PHP runs with the WordPress site's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
