Remote SQL injection via Domainname
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in NETGEAR ProSafe SSL VPN FVS336Gv2 and FVS336Gv3 allows remote attackers to execute SQL commands via crafted web requests. The cgi-bin/platform.cgi handler passes USERDBDomains.Domainname input into database operations without adequate neutralization, enabling attacker-controlled SQL statements. The web interface is network reachable without authentication, and successful exploitation can read, modify, or delete database data and compromise device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
