Browser script execution via unfiltered preview URL
Published May 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in kkFileView 4.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted preview URL. OnlinePreviewController Base64-decodes the user-controlled url parameter, then embeds a disallowed file URL into error-page output without filtering special characters. A user must open the Base64- and URL-encoded link; successful script execution can expose script-accessible site cookies and modify page content.
