Stored XSS via unsanitized Media block Image URL
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Stored XSS in the Media block in Beaver Builder 2.5.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via Image URL. The block accepts the Image URL without sufficient input sanitization and renders it without sufficient output escaping, preserving attacker-supplied script in the page. Access to the Beaver Builder editor is required, and the script executes when a user visits the injected page within that visitor's site session.
