Privilege escalation in CyberLink PowerDirector 14 allows local users to run attacker-chosen commands through a crafted executable. The promotion-link interface stores an attacker-controlled executable path and launches it with the application's privileges. Exploitation requires user interaction and PowerDirector to be running with administrative rights, after which the command executes as an administrator.
