Sensitive backup disclosure via predictable public filenames
Published Jun 24, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Information disclosure in Telesoft VitalPBX before 3.2.1 allows remote attackers to download sensitive PBX backup archives. Apache exposes archives under /static/backup without access control, while filenames combine an MD5 hash of a sequential profile ID with a Unix timestamp. A backup must exist and its profile ID and creation time must be enumerated; retrieval discloses extension passwords, TLS private keys, and voicemail audio.
