Unauthenticated memory corruption via checkvalidupgrade overflow
Published May 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in D-Link DAP-1330 firmware 1.00b21 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through the checkvalidupgrade function. The overflow occurs in checkvalidupgrade, but published sources do not identify the triggering field or the unbounded memory operation. NVD rates reachability as unauthenticated over a network; triggering can corrupt process memory, while code execution has not been publicly demonstrated.
