Script execution via unescaped login message
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Avantune Genialcloud ProJ 10 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user's browser via a crafted link. The /eportal/ login portal inserts the msg parameter into a JavaScript string without neutralizing quotes, allowing the payload to terminate the string and run script. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted link; successful code runs in the site's browser context and can read or modify data accessible to that session.
