Authenticated account data disclosure via unchecked export request
Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authorization bypass in Kentico CMS before 13.0.66 allows remote authenticated users to export any user's account options. The second-stage export POST accepts a user-selected objectId without repeating the privilege check performed when the export workflow starts. User-management rights, normally held by Administrators, are required; bypassing the check exposes higher-privileged users' XML settings, including password hashes.
