CVE-2022-2922Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via log path traversal

Published Sep 30, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025

Path traversal in DNN Platform before 9.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to read files via crafted log-file names. The GetLogFile and GetUpgradeLogFile handlers combined attacker-controlled names with trusted log directories without reducing them to a basename, so relative components could escape the intended directory. Access requires an authenticated account with the relevant log-viewing privilege, and the demonstrated consequence is confidential file disclosure rather than modification or service interruption.
