Reflected XSS via unescaped comparison errors
Published May 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Reflected XSS in Thoughtworks GoCD 20.2.0 through 21.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. The pipeline comparison route passes attacker-controlled error text to HtmlErrorPage.errorPage, which inserts it into HTML without escaping. A victim must open the crafted comparison request; the script then acts with the victim's GoCD browser privileges.
