CVE-2022-2912Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server-side requests via nonce-free AJAX action

Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Server-side request forgery in Craw Data 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to make the WordPress server request arbitrary URLs. The crawDataAjax action accepts the url parameter without verifying a WordPress nonce, then requests the attacker-chosen URL from the WordPress server. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the crafted request, and the demonstrated consequence is an outbound request to a third-party host.
