CVE-2022-29089

Admin REST API access via recoverable credentials

Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025

Information disclosure in Dell SmartFabric OS10 before 10.5.3.5 allows remote attackers to recover secrets and gain REST API admin access. SmartFabric Services protects administrative credentials inadequately, leaving them recoverable through reverse engineering; Dell has not named the affected code locus. SmartFabric Services must be enabled, and Dell limits the attack to an adjacent network; recovered credentials permit administrative REST API use.
