CVE-2022-29081Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated API access via unnormalized request URI

Published Apr 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in ManageEngine Access Manager Plus, Password Manager Pro, and PAM360 allows remote attackers to invoke restricted REST APIs. In Access Manager Plus, RestAPIUtil.isRestAPIRequest reads HttpServletRequest.getRequestURI() without normalizing dot segments, so /x/../RestAPI paths evade the REST API filter. Affected builds are Access Manager Plus 4000 through 4301, Password Manager Pro 10103 through 12006, and PAM360 4001 through 5400; no credentials or user interaction are required, and exposed actions include restarting services, reading dashboard, license, and event data, changing certificates and schedules, and terminating certain RDP sessions.
