CVE-2022-29048Network attack vector

Outbound connections via GET-based form validation

Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Nov 20, 2024

CSRF in Jenkins Subversion Plugin 2.15.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to make the controller connect to attacker-specified URLs. The doCheckRemote, doCheckRevisionPropertiesSupported, doCheckUrl, and doCheckTagsDir methods lack POST enforcement while processing supplied repository or browser URLs. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content while Jenkins is reachable from the browser; the reported effect is an outbound connection, not data access or code execution.
