CVE-2022-29031

Application crash via CGM null dereference

Published May 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Null pointer dereference in JT2Go before 13.3.0.3 and affected Teamcenter Visualization releases allows local users to crash the application. In Teamcenter Visualization 13.3 before 13.3.0.3 and 14.0 before 14.0.0.1, CGM_NIST_Loader.dll dereferences a null pointer while parsing crafted CGM input. A user must open the attacker-supplied file, and the documented consequence is interruption of the current application process.
