Script execution via unneutralized profile fields
Published May 23, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Online Birth Certificate System 1.2 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through profile fields. The /obcs/user/profile.php handler accepts crafted fname or lname values and renders them as executable HTML instead of neutralizing them. Exploitation requires access to the profile update path and a victim to view the poisoned profile, causing code to run in that victim's browser session.
