Stored script execution via unescaped search input
Published May 23, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul e-Diary Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in dashboard browsers. The referenced proof of concept posts a script payload as searchdata to search-result.php, which renders the value in dashboard pages without HTML neutralization. A valid PHP session and a victim viewing an affected dashboard are required; exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in that user's browser context.
