Code execution via dangling ORM object
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Use-after-free in Measuresoft ScadaPro Server all versions allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted ORM project file. The ORM parser operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists, leaving a dangling reference during file processing. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and successful code execution runs in the context of the ScadaPro process.
