Code execution via unchecked ORM data length
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflows in Measuresoft ScadaPro Server all versions allow remote attackers to execute code via a crafted ORM file. The ORM parser fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it into a stack buffer, creating two overflow paths. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the current process context.
