Cross-site scripting via unencoded feed filename
Published May 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in DokuWiki 2020-07-29 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted feed request. The _generateFilename method accepts a pathinfo-derived basename containing HTML event-handler markup, which feed.php emits without output encoding. The attack requires a user to load the crafted response; successful execution can read or modify browser-accessible data in DokuWiki's origin.
