Authenticated file deletion via traversable plugin name
Published Apr 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file deletion in GreenCMS 2.3.0603 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files through the plugin deletion endpoint. The plugindelhandle action accepts traversal sequences in the plugin_name value and passes the resulting path to deletion logic in Application/Common/Util/File.class.php without restricting deletion to plugin files. Access to the administrative background is required, and deleting server files can corrupt site content or interrupt the service.
