Remote service crash via lanIp stack overflow
Published May 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AX12 firmware 22.03.01.21_cn allows remote attackers to interrupt service via the lanIp parameter. The /goform/AdvSetLanIp handler processes an oversized lanIp value without adequate bounds, exhausting stack space and crashing the router service. Network access to the endpoint is sufficient; the documented impact is service availability loss without reported confidentiality or integrity effects.
