Scanning-engine crash via aepack.dll scan
Published Jul 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial-of-service in aepack.dll in F-Secure Atlant allows remote attackers to interrupt scanning via scanning-triggered input. The aepack.dll component is processed by the scanning engine, and the vulnerable operation can crash that engine. The vendor states that exploitation is remotely triggerable, with no known exploit or attack observed in the wild; the fix was distributed automatically through the Capricorn database update.
