CVE-2022-28868Network attack vector

Domain spoofing via premature address-bar URL display

Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Address-bar spoofing in F-Secure Mobile Security 18.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to impersonate a trusted domain on Android. Safe Browser briefly displays the next URL before the attacker-controlled page finishes loading, so the visible origin and rendered content can disagree. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted webpage or URL; the false trusted-domain indication lasts only until page loading completes.
