Administrative settings compromise via missing authorization
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Nokia AirFrame BMC Web GUI before 4.13.00 allows remote authenticated users to read data and alter settings. The /#settings/* pages and /api/settings/* endpoints fail to enforce server-side permission checks, so an Operator can submit administrative configuration changes hidden by client-side controls. Access requires a low-privileged Operator account; successful requests expose sensitive settings, change system configuration, and can interrupt service.
