FTP credential disclosure via cleartext camera traffic
Published Jul 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext credential exposure in Citilog 8.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read FTP credentials from camera HTTP traffic. The server sends FTP credentials without transport encryption in HTTP traffic exchanged with an Axis M1125 smart camera. Network positioning between the server and camera is required, and the disclosed credentials grant FTP access to the server.
