Memory disclosure via stale Doc object access
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader 22.001.20085 and earlier allows attackers to disclose process memory through a malicious PDF. Doc object handling performs operations without confirming that the object still exists, dereferencing memory after its lifetime ends. Exploitation requires a user to open the file; the resulting disclosure can expose sensitive memory and help defeat ASLR.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
