Unauthenticated arbitrary file read via path traversal
Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Relative path traversal in affected Carlo Gavazzi UWP 3.0 and CPY firmware allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. CERT@VDE has not disclosed the affected endpoint, parameter, or path-handling operation that permits traversal outside the intended directory. Network access to the embedded web interface requires no privileges; exposed files enable full device control, although the subsequent control path is undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
