Authenticated command execution via unsanitized password argument
Published Apr 18, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Command injection in Zoho ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus builds 6121 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. When custom password-sync scripts pass passwords as arguments, the reset flow inserts an unsanitized password into the command line instead of encoding it as a string literal. The vulnerable feature must be enabled, and a user able to reset or change a password can run commands on the server as SYSTEM.
