Code execution via recovery-mode DWG rendering
Published Jul 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2023.2 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DWG file. The SDK reads beyond a buffer while rendering a DWG file after the file has been opened in recovery mode; the vendor has not disclosed the responsible function or malformed field. Exploitation requires a host application to recover and then render the malicious file, and successful code execution runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
