SMM code execution via unchecked communication buffer

Memory corruption in Fujitsu LIFEBOOK BIOS firmware allows local users with ring 0 access to execute arbitrary code in SMM. The FjGabiFlashCoreAbstractionSmm SWSMI handler writes fixed values through an insufficiently validated CommBuffer that can point into SMRAM. Exploitation requires existing privileged local code execution and permits persistent firmware modification beyond operating-system control.
