Unauthorized Secret Folder designation via missing permission check
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in Samsung Security Supporter before 1.2.40.0 allows local users to designate arbitrary folders as Secret Folders. The folder-designation operation accepts an arbitrary target without enforcing the Samsung Security Supporter permission required for that action. Local access and user interaction are required; the unauthorized designation can conceal or change access to attacker-chosen folder contents.
