Credential disclosure via unredacted HTTP header logging
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in SAP Host Agent 7.22 allows local users to read restricted credentials from trace-level-3 log files. At trace level 3, sapstartsrv writes every HTTP request header, including the Authorization header, to sapstartsrv.log without redaction. Access requires a local account able to read the log, and the exposure is limited to sensitive data captured while enhanced tracing is enabled.
