Unauthenticated block bypass via spoofed IP headers
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
IP validation bypass in Creativemotion Titan Anti-spam & Security before 7.3.1 allows remote attackers to evade IP-based blocking. The client-IP validation trusts attacker-controlled HTTP forwarding headers as the origin address instead of a trustworthy network source. No authentication or user interaction is required; spoofing changes the identity evaluated by the block feature and lets requests from a blocked source pass.
